Seif El Hakim Named Recipient of the Global Influence Award at GEF 2026

Seif El Hakim, Founder & Chairman of THE ALPHA GROUP, has been named a recipient of the Global Recognition Award – Global Influence Award by the Global Entrepreneurship Festival 2026 (GEF 2026).

The festival's organisers have confirmed his selection for the award, which is scheduled to be presented on 8 November 2026 during the Global Entrepreneurs Award Gala in Cairo. GEF 2026 takes place from 6 to 8 November 2026 at the JW Marriott Hotel, Cairo, under the theme The World We Help to Create.

Speaking at The Global Leaders Dialogue

The day before the presentation, on 7 November 2026, Seif El Hakim will take part as a Distinguished Speaker in The Global Leaders Dialogue, a panel discussion on the topic The Power to Help, moderated by Kayode Akintemi, Managing Director and Editor-in-Chief of NewsCentral TV. A career across corporations, ventures and media

Seif El Hakim brings more than two decades of international corporate leadership and entrepreneurial experience, including senior roles at Samsung Electronics: at its global headquarters in South Korea, and as Regional Chief Marketing Officer for Russia and the CIS.

He leads THE ALPHA GROUP, a diversified business group headquartered in Dubai with a presence across the UAE, Egypt and the United Kingdom. Its activity spans business development and investment, media through Alpha Media & Studios and The Alpha Talks Show, and strategic advisory. Through the show and his speaking, he also contributes to entrepreneurship education across the region.

What the recognition reflects

For the Group, the selection recognises a consistent approach rather than a single achievement: building businesses across markets, investing with a long-term view, and using media and dialogue to widen access to business experience. It also acknowledges influence that reaches beyond one company, into the entrepreneurial communities of the UAE and Egypt.
